Privacy

What we collect, and why

When you design a print: the place you choose, your caption and any pins you add. If you use “Use my current location”, your browser shares your position with the page to centre the map. We only keep it if you order a print showing it.

If you add a photo: a picture you choose to put on your print, such as a finish photo. Only you add it. It is uploaded to our hosting provider so the print can be made, and is deleted with the print files (legal basis: our contract with you).

When you order: your name, email, phone number, shipping address and the design of your print. We need these to make and deliver your order and to contact you about it (legal basis: our contract with you). We keep order records for seven years, because Swedish bookkeeping law requires it (legal basis: legal obligation).

Payment: Stripe processes your payment. We never receive your card details.

After you order: we ask how you found us. Answering is optional; your answer is kept with your order, and we count the answers to know where our customers come from (legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing what brings people to the shop).

Who we share it with

A few providers help us run the shop, and each only gets what its part needs:

• Our payment provider: payment and checkout.
• Our print and delivery partner: printing and delivery. They receive your print file, name, address, email and phone number.
• Our email provider: sends and receives our email.
• Our hosting provider: hosts the website and stores print files.
• Our map provider: map tiles, imagery and place search. Your browser contacts them directly while you use the map, so they see your IP address and what you search for.

Some of these companies are based outside the EU/EEA. Where data leaves the EEA, it is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe's checkout page sets cookies it needs for payment and fraud prevention.

If you arrive through one of our ads, the link says which one, and we note that on your order so we know which ads work (legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing what our advertising brings). Nothing is stored on your device for this, and we do not follow you anywhere else.

We count how the site is used with our hosting provider's web analytics and speed measurement: which pages are viewed, which steps of making a print are taken (such as choosing a style or opening checkout), and how fast pages load. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and we only see totals, never individual visitors (legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works and what our advertising brings).

How long we keep it

• Order records: seven years, for bookkeeping.
• Print files, and any photo you added: deleted automatically 90 days after you order.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted where the law allows, or object to how we use it: email support@fantastic-maps.com. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), www.imy.se.
